On October 16th & 17th, 2023, Papua New Guinea took center stage at the inaugural Papua New Guinea–Asia Investment Conference in Hong Kong, organized by the PNG Chamber of Mines and Petroleum with the support and partnership of the National Government of Papua New Guinea.

The event provided PNG with an unprecedented opportunity to harness potential investment prospects from major Asian economies, including China, Japan, India, and Korea. The PNG Government embraced the opportunity to promote trade and investment linkages with investors and trade partners from these countries.
