Based in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea (PNG), KutMor Ltd has steadily built a strong track record of service delivery and community impact—one grounded in people, resilience, and national pride.
Industry Engagement and Strategic Partnerships
In preparation for the 2025 Supply Development Seminar scheduled to take place on the 10th of July 2025, KutMor Ltd has shared with the PNG Chamber of Resources & Energy (PNG CORE) over a decade of progress, purpose, and strategic partnership that have shaped its growth to becoming a success story today.

A Strong Presence in PNG’s Petroleum Sector
Representing 14 shareholder groups across Kutubu, Moran, and Mananda, KutMor serves as the umbrella landowner company for Petroleum Development Licences (PDLs) 2, 5, and 6 (Kutubu and Moran oil fields). With a workforce of more than 250 contractors supporting operations with industry leaders Santos Ltd and ExxonMobil PNG Ltd, KutMor has grown into a major player in manpower, security, procurement, and project management services.
Beyond Compliance: Strategic Growth and Diversification
At the core of the company’s success are strategic decisions that surpass basic compliance. From holding a 35 per cent equity stake in PNG Mining and Petroleum Hospitality Services Limited (PNGMPHSL) to the full acquisition of Vanguard International, KutMor has demonstrated a deliberate commitment to diversification. These bold moves have not only secured returns but also strengthened the company’s financial foundation, delivering PGK7.5 million in dividends since 2016.

Navigating Challenges with Resilience
The path hasn’t been without challenges. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, the company made difficult but necessary decisions—delaying dividend distributions and supporting affected workers through half-day pay arrangements. Despite the hardships, KutMor stayed true to its core value: People First.
Adapting to Emerging Operational Risks
The company has also responded proactively to operational risks, including enhancing cybersecurity protocols and investing in digital systems. KutMor continues to modernize its internal processes. Most recently, it has begun implementing an Emergency Response Plan (ERP), a strategic move to improve emergency preparedness.

Vision for the Future: Strengthening National Participation
Looking ahead, KutMor is not standing still. The company is actively building connections with other landowner companies across PNG, driven by a shared vision of strengthening national content through increased local participation and early engagement in major projects.
A Legacy of Transformation
KutMor’s journey is one of transformation—turning local knowledge into national capability, growing beyond traditional services, and helping establish a long-term sustainable economy for its shareholders and surrounding communities.

About Supply Development Seminar
The 2025 Supply Development Seminar, hosted by PNG Chamber of Resources and Energy (PNG CORE), is a strategic industry event focused on enhancing participation of local Papua New Guinean (PNG) businesses in the major mining, and oil and gas projects. The seminar aims to build strategic partnerships between local companies, international investors, contractors, and government agencies to empower local businesses, connect local suppliers, and encourage participation through forming joint ventures and showcasing local capabilities.
The key outcomes of the seminar are in alignment with PNG CORE’s national content policy statement objective of facilitating local procurement. Through the seminar, local companies should gain insights into current and upcoming investment prospects, take away lessons learned from the experiences of fellow local companies, and engage in structured networking sessions that could potentially result in joint partnerships.
This one-day seminar will coincide with the PNG CORE’s month-long celebrations in July starting with the PNG Resources Golden Exhibition from July 7th-25th and close off with the PNG Resources Week from July 28th -31st 2025.
